I am excited to present this issue of the COGIC Scholars newsletter featuring   Dorcas Austin’s article on women in COGIC. This response was eloquently delivered during our past forum at the Holy Convocation.  Also noteworthy, this issue contains book reviews, announcements, call for papers, and celebratory notes for those who have graduated and a new job appointment. As we enter into the Summer, I am looking forward with great anticipation to our annual COGIC Scholars Academic Forum at AIM 2008 in Detroit, MI (see the announcement).  In preparation, we have been working diligently to put together an impressive list of presentations. We invite all who will be attending the AIM convention to come and join us for what promises to be informative and provocative sessions at the COBO Center in Detroit.
